Explore Silvershod!

Silvershod

The story of Coral Sea Lookout takes place in the land of Silvershod; A magical land populated by multi-coloured cats.

In this version of Earth, all the humans are gone. The cats found a safe residence in this small part of the world, cut off from the rest by a dense mountain range and forest.

The cats are descendant from house cats though, so various technologies like phones, televisions, and cellular have been altered by Silvershod's brightest to be utilised by cats.

The one train line in Silvershod was left behind by humans, and the cats refigured it to work for them. They also created extra rails to reach the towns of Silvershod.

The main cities the story takes place in are Shaukat in the south where everyone lives, and Snowshoes in the north where Sketch came from.

Shaukat

Coral Sea Lookout - An elevated hill that overlooks Shaukat. Sketch and his friends have hung fairy lights from the branches of the trees there and leave a picnic blanket in a log for when they visit the hill.

Oncilla Private School of the Arts - A prestigious private art school in Shaukat.

Shaukat High - The public high school in Shaukat.

Cat Cafe - A cafe with tables and cushions and pillow pits for you to eat and drink in. This has an extremely cozy feeling.

Nekoka - A restaurant that has hanging lights and vines inside. It's very romantic.

Magic

Magic in Silvershod is learnt, not inherited. No cat is born with magic abilities, but every cat can learn how to use magic. And while they can technically learn more than one ability, most cats can only mentally handle one. Any more and they become weak and unstable.

Cats can channel magic into lights, phones, computers, and any other gadget they need to live. Electricity and technology is based on old human technology and then aided and powered by magic.

Like any talent, some cats are born with a predisposition to an ability. Most cats though have to choose a power to learn, study, and practise in order to master.

Traditions and Holidays

Snowquill - A celebration of family and togetherness during the harsh winters. Celebrated similarly to Christmas in our world.

Hikari - The festival of light in Shaukat. Celebrates the last day of summer before the days started getting shorter and Shaukatians had to start lighting lanterns to see easier in the evening.
Celebrated by releasing sky lanterns into the air once the sun sets.

Blood Leaves Festival- On the night of the autumnal equinox, Silvershod mourns all those who lost their lives along the way to founding the land they now call home. Celebrated similarly to Halloween in our world.
